The 5th Annual Solano Medical Response Summit will be held on Thursday, August 14, 2014 at the NorthBay Administration Center located at 4500 Business Center Drive, Fairfield, CA 94534.

EMERGENCY DEPARTMENT APPROVED FOR PEDATRICS (EDAP) DESIGNATED HOSPITALS
The following facilities have been designated by Solano County as Emergency Department Approved for Pediatrics (EDAP) hospitals:
- Kaiser Permanente Vallejo Medical Center - 975 Sereno Drive, Vallejo, CA 94589
- Kaiser Permanente Vacaville Medical Center - 1 Quality Drive, Vacaville, CA 95688
- NorthBay Medical Center - 1200 B. Gale Wilson Blvd., Fairfield, CA 94533
- NorthBay VacaValley Hospital - 1000 Nut Tree Road, Vacaville, CA 95687
LEVEL II TRAUMA CENTER DESIGNATION
During the Solano Emergency Medical Services Cooperative (SEMSC) meeting on Thursday, October 10, 2013, the American College of Surgeons (ACS) presented a report indicating that the Independent Review Panel of subject matter experts recommended Kaiser Foundation Hospital-Vacaville be designated as the Level II Trauma Center in Solano County.
Following this recommendation, the SEMSC board voted to preliminarily designate Kaiser Foundation Hospital-Vacaville.

The Solano County EMS Medical Director has provided procedures to assure availability of Epinephrine 1:10,000. Please review the detailed directions and provide widest dissemination.
12-LEAD EKG PROCEDURE
The Solano County EMS Medical Director has provided direction for the handling of 12-Lead EKGs. Please reveiw the directions and provide widest dissemination.
EMS UPDATE EMT and PARAMEDIC APPOINTMENTS
Advanced Life Support (ALS) ambulance transfers requiring a Registered Nurse due to a patient’s condition or prescribed medications fall under the exclusivity established in the Master Agreement for ALS Ambulance Services. The Inter-facility Ambulance Transfer Request Form has been revised to assist facilities with selecting the appropriate level of ambulance service. The form is available on this website under the “Forms” tab; please begin using the form immediately.

- TUESDAY MORNINGS (8:30am - 11:00am)
- WEDNESDAY AFTERNOONS (1:30pm - 4:00pm)

FRANK SPRINGER AWARD NOMINATIONS
Assistant Fire Chief Springer served Solano County residents from 1975 to 1998 in the Vallejo Fire Department. He was a highly respected leader in the EMS community. Assistant Chief Springer's commitment and contributions to the EMS community are honored annually through the issuance of the Frank Springer Award. The Frank Springer Award is designed to recognize an individual for his or her outstanding commitment and contributions to improving emergency medical services for the people living in Solano County.
