The General Election is November 8, 2016 and we need you to become a poll worker. In addition to performing their civic duty, poll workers also get paid. Poll workers earn at least $175, depending on the position, in addition to a $20 stipend for attending mandatory poll worker in-person training and $25 for each online course passed. The County of Solano, in partnership with the City of Vallejo and the Solano County Fair Association, is working to create a new economic future for the Solano County Fairgrounds. The project is dubbed Solano360 in recognition that the future of this community asset requires a vision beyond the five days of the annual Solano County Fair. Keep informed on the ongoing efforts and help plan the future of the Solano County Fairgrounds.
Two day-long issue summits will be held at:
Thursday, December 1st at the Joseph A. Nelson Community Center, 611 Village Drive, Suisun City
Monday, December 5th at the John F. Kennedy Library, 505 Santa Clara Street, Vallejo
The topics covered on both days will be:
1. Creative solutions to increase affordable housing
2. Improving System Navigation
3. Serving Sub Populations
Content will be the same at each summit, so participants can select the one that works best for them.
