| The walk away message from the nation's conference of county leaders was federal and county governments must expand their partnership to create jobs and address the broad impacts of an economy in recovery. "Our voices joined the chorus of other counties that told the administration and Congress that the success of any federal economic strategy relies on local governments at the front end working with local businesses to grow the private sector economy as well as deliver services to those in need," said Supervisor Mike Reagan, who serves on the NACo Community and Economic Development Committee.
