Registrar reminds voters of upcoming Vote-by-Mail deadlines
May 16, 2014
SOLANO COUNTY – The Registrar of Voters is reminding citizens requiring vote-by-mail ballots to complete requests before May 27th. Tuesday, May 27, is the last day to request the Registrar’s Office to mail you a vote-by-mail ballot for the June 3 election.
Some sample ballot books were delivered to voters with a minor printing error affecting the instructions on how to request a vote-by-mail ballot. “It’s important to our office that all citizens know how to receive the services our office provides,” said John Gardner, Assistant Registrar of Voters.
If you have not received your vote-by-mail ballot or have questions about how to request one for this election, voters should call the Registrar of Voters at (707) 784-6675.
Vote-by-mail ballots can be returned through the close of the polls at 8 p.m. on Election Day. Vote-by-mail ballots received after Monday, June 2 will be counted after the election due to the ballot verification process.
Voters wanting that feeling of placing their vote in the ballot box can drop off their vote-by-mail ballot at City Clerk’s office in all seven cities or at the Solano County Registrar of Voters on the second floor of the County Administration Center, 675 Texas St. in Fairfield.
