Outreach meetings on Nov. 12 to discuss Public Facility Fee update
November 8, 2013
The County will hold public outreach meetings on Tuesday, Nov. 12 to discuss the Draft Nexus Analysis Report for the Solano County Public Facilities Fee Update.
The first meeting from 9 to 10:30 a.m. is targeted toward city staff and the second from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. is targeted toward the development community and the general public.
The meetings will be held in conference room B of the Solano County Events Center at 601 Texas St. in Fairfield.
The County's consultant, Economic Planning Systems, will present the update and receive public input to be incorporated into the final update report that will be presented to the Board of Supervisors for consideration at its regular meeting on Dec. 3.
The Public Facility Fee is charged on new development to cover anticipated increases in facilities and programs the County will need to meet the demands of new development. The rationale behind the fee is examined every five years to reflect changes in growth projections and services provided by the County.
A copy of the draft report is also available for review on the sixth floor of the County Administration Center, 675 Texas St. in Fairfield.
If the Board of Supervisors adopts the proposed Public Facility Fee, the new fee will be effective Feb. 1, 2014.
