Correctional Health Care Services

Tom Norris
Correctional Health Care Services

The Sheriff’s Office is responsible in providing comprehensive health care services to the incarcerated population.  These services include medical, dental and mental health care.  These services are provided through a contracted medical provider and health care staff is at the Fairfield Justice Center and the Sentenced Detention Facility twenty four hours a day, seven days a week.

Our client/patient can have something as simple as a common cold to a debilitating disease process, such as cancer.  We rely on the community health care providers to provide specialized and inpatient care since the jail is not a hospital.
