HOW DOES AN EMPLOYER GET STARTED?
As an employer two steps must be taken (please read completely):
(1) Determine if you are AUTHORIZED to submit and receive criminal history information from the Department Of Justice. Call Department of Justice at (916) 227-3456.
The Department of Justice determines which agencies, organizations, or businesses are eligible for submission and respond as authorized by law. This process takes approximately two to three weeks.
(2) Become an electronic submission agency as follows:
(a) DOWNLOAD the forms to become an electronic submission agency from the Attorney General?s Web site: http://caag.state.ca.us./fingerprints/index.htm then select ? applicant live scan information. Mail the completed packet to the Department of Justice.
