Mission Statement:  Provide breastfeeding education, information and resources for health care professionals, mothers and families.

Meetings:  
   
3rd Thursday of every month 
      9:15 – 11:30 AM
   Held at the Multipurpose Room 
      2101 Courage Drive, Fairfield, CA

 Members: Representatives of public and private agencies that serve pregnant and breastfeeding women, including agencies and physician offices that provide prenatal and pediatric care, local Solano County hospitals as well as from the neighboring Air Force Base and Napa County, WIC, Public Health Nursing, Black Infant Health, BabyFirst Solano, La Leche League and Partnership HealthPlan of California, the Medi-Cal Managed Care Plan of Solano County.

1. World Breastfeeding Week Theme, 2015: 
    
Breastfeeding and Work: Let's make it work

Help our Coalition identify employers who support - or do not support - their working/breastfeeding mothers.  We are conducting an anonymous survey (in English and Spanish) to learn where pregnant and parenting mothers work in our county.  Please download and conduct this survey in your agencies.

2.  Consistent Information and Messaging:
Mothers who want to breastfeed report: “I get different instructions and information from each person I see.” 
The Breastfeeding Coalition offers a variety of ways to help those working with breastfeeding mothers in Solano County stay up-to-date and network with each other. 
For example:

a. 
Attend the Breastfeeding Coalition of Solano County Meetings 
        • An hour of breastfeeding education is offered at each meeting
        • Meet those who work with the mothers you see 
        • collaborate in order to develop consistent messages
        • Stay informed about changes in local services and educational options

b. Attend Conferences and trainings:
